L&G hires Nick Prettejohn as non-exec director

Former Prudential UK chief executive Nick Prettejohn has joined Legal & General (L&G) as a non-executive director.

He replaces Frances Heaton, who retires after holding the position since July 2001. "Frances has been a very effective and distinguished member of the board and audit committee," says John Stewart, chairman of L&G. "I am very pleased that Nick has agreed to join the board. "He brings a strong intellect and a wealth of UK and international insurance expertise and knowledge to the role, and I look forward to working with him."
