RBS enters UK ETF market

The Royal Bank of Scotland has unveiled a new range of ETFs on the London Stock Exchange, to meet the increasing demand for low-cost, liquid and diversified market exposure.

The bank's Market Access ETF platform provides exposure to the emerging markets and commodities, based on a range of indices including those from Jim Rogers and Deutsche Boerse. RBS head of UK listed products Ben Board says: "We're trying to bring the capabilities we've had in European markets to the UK, as the UK is our domestic market. "We have a good listed products platform in the UK that we've built over the last 18 months and the time is right to get ETFs on there."
