Investors have been left trying to steer their own way through the financial turmoil of the past year as advisers fail to regularly review customers' investments, research suggests.
Of 2000 polled, 61% of investors have not had their investments reviewed in over a year, with 20% saying it had been more than three years since their last review, according to a survey by Skipton Financial Services. Yet 59% admit they have needed more support from their financial adviser in that time, the nationwide survey suggests. Customers in London were most in need of advice (71%) in the last year, but three quarters (75%) had not had a full review of their investments in that time.
