SG and Barclays unveil ETNs on London Stock Exchange

Société Générale and Barclays have launched a combined total of 28 exchange-traded notes (ETNs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

The launch by both the banks marks their inaugural listings of ETNs on the exchange, and joins the one existing ETN tracking gold, released by Lyxor in March last year. The latest products provide exposure to commodities and futures indices. The 16 products launched by Société Générale include notes tracking gold and silver spot prices, as well as broader indices such as the S&P 500 Total Return index. The 12 iPath notes admitted by Barclays are based on underlying indices such as the S&P GSCI Agriculture index, the S&P GSCI Precious Metals index and the DJ-UBS Commodity index. The...
