The Nasdaq OMX exchange in Sweden has started trading in the db x-trackers Eurostoxx 50 index ETF.
The underlying blue-chip benchmark comprises 50 stocks from 12 eurozone countries, including Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. Nasdaq OMX senior vice president Jenny Rosberg says: "Deutsche Bank's entry into the Nordic ETF market will enable our investor community to trade a wide variety of internationally recognised indices in local currency, and thus help grow the popularity of ETFs in the region."
