AdvisorShares files for long and short ETF

AdvisorShares has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a fund of funds style ETF investing in both long and short positions.

The filing says the Global Relative Value ETF invests in other ETFs, offering diversified exposure to global regions, countries, sectors and styles, including market capitalisation, value and growth. The fund takes long positions in ETFs tracking the most attractive regions out of the US, Europe, Asia and Emerging Markets, while taking short positions in those that are least attractive.
