PBR: Auto-enrolment delay rumours 'false'

Rumours the Government would delay auto-enrolment are false, the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) says.

This morning, the Independent claimed the Government would delay the scheme in order to help plug its budget deficit. A DWP spokesman says: "We remain 100% committed to the Turner settlement, and to taking the action necessary to tackle the problems of under-saving in an ageing society." "Our priority is to get the infrastructure in place as quickly as possible, to enable millions of people to save into a workplace pension.
