Deutsche appoints UK head of ETF sales

Deutsche Bank has appointed Nick Shellard as UK head of ETF sales to bolster the bank's ETF business in the UK market.

Shellard had accrued over a decade of experience in ETFs, and joins from Barclays Global Investors where he was head of iShares ETF sales for the UK and Switzerland. Deutsche Bank co-head of equity sales for Europe Tim Hart says: "The UK is a strategically important growth market for ETFs. With initiatives such as the Retail Distribution Review approaching, there is a real opportunity for ETFs to become a mainstream retail investment product."
