Charles Schwab unveils inaugural ETF range

Charles Schwab Investment Management has entered the ETF market with its inaugural range of four funds, offering low operating expense ratios and commission-free online trading.

The four funds, launched today on NYSE Arca, include the Schwab US Broad Stock Market ETF, the US Large-Cap ETF, the US Small-Cap ETF and the International Equity ETF. Another set of four funds will be unveiled in December, with the range comprising the Schwab US Large-Cap Growth ETF, the US Large-Cap Value ETF, the International Small-Cap Equity ETF and the Emerging Markets Equity ETF. Schwab says its offering presents some of the lowest operating expense ratios in the market. The funds can also be bought and sold without commissions in Schwab accounts if transacted online.
