GAM names replacement for Bennett

GAM has appointed former T. Rowe Price and BlackRock manager Niall Gallagher as the replacement for John Bennett on two long-only European equity funds.

Bennett - who currently runs the GAM Star Continental European Equity, the GAM Star European Equity and the GAM European Hedge funds - will move to Gartmore in the New Year, alongside three members of the GAM European investment team. Gallagher will take over management of the GAM Star Continental European Equity and European Equity vehicles in early December.
