AWD Chase de Vere has made available a tax planning guide to help consumers manage their tax affairs effectively during the economic downturn.

The guide suggests simple steps to reduce tax bills through the appropriate use of tax-efficient savings. It provides information on a variety of tax-efficient products and strategies. The amount wasted through poor financial planning is predicted to increase by £700m in 2009 compared to 2008, according to IFA search engine Unbiased.co.uk, as a large number of UK taxpayers have not done anything to reduce their tax bills over the last year.
