Gartmore's Guy and Rambourg to hand European mandates to GAM's Bennett

Roger Guy and Guillaume Rambourg will cease the bulk of their retail management responsibilities at Gartmore next year, following the arrival of GAM's John Bennett.

They will hand the running of their £1.5bn European Select Opportunities fund, as well as their continental Europe Sicavs to Bennett, who will become European Equities senior portfolio manager in early 2010. The pair will remain at the company, continuing to manage the long/short European Absolute Return fund launched for them in January as well as three institutional hedge funds. Bennett, who is currently the GAM Star Continental European Equity fund manager, will also develop a range of further pan European products for Gartmore.
