Quarter of advisers mull guided sales channel

One in four intermediaries is "definitely considering" a web-based or guided sales model in the run up to the RDR, a new study reveals.

Just over 25% of more than 350 respondents to an online poll conducted by 1st-The Exchange said guided sales, which the FSA defines as simplified advice designed to result in a sale, was an option. While 5% already offer a web-based distribution services, the study also revealed 35% say they would "definitely not" consider a web-based channel. Another 32% of advisers are undecided, it says.
