Change can often be unsettling. So when Rathbones recently went through a period of consolidation, it did make me wonder whether or not it was a stable ship. They have made cuts on the sales side as well as losing a fund manager. They are also consolidating their fund range from seven to five funds in July. Their flagship fund, the Rathbone Income fund, has also suffered a two year period of underperformance, so it hasn't been a rosy picture.
