Miton Investments is launching a special situations fund of funds (Fof) in October. The group has gained FSA approval for the product but has not yet decided on the sector. Miton has already been running the special situations strategy as an investment portfolio and is now looking to put it into fund form.
This will be the fourth Fof available in the group's Oeic, sitting alongside its Extra Income, Global and Strategic Portfolios. A manager team of Martin Gray, Tom McGrath and Sam Liddle runs these Fofs. Miton is also increasing its distribution in the UK and Asia. It has linked up with Canada Life International making its funds of funds (Fofs) available through an offshore bond. The UK sales force of Canada Life will be offering this link to their clients.
