Former FSA chief Tiner joins Resolution

Resolution has recruited former FSA chief executive John Tiner as CEO and unveiled plans to form a quoted company that will deploy in excess of £5bn in targeting M&A opportunities.

Resolution said that its offshoot, most likely to list in November, will participate in the "restructuring of the financial services sector." Resolution claims to have consulted capital providers and other industry stakeholders about strategic opportunities, and has confirmed significant investor focus on life assurance and savings, banking, credit and non-bank financial assets, as well as asset management and reinsurance and general insurance.
