Threadneedle has hired Peter Mackaness as an investment specialist in its property team.
Mackaness has joined from AXA Real Estate Investment Managers where he was head of marketing. In this role, he was responsible for developing UK business including the creation and marketing of new property funds, securing new segregated property mandates and increasing funds under management from third party investors. Prior to this, Mackaness was head of the City Investment Agency Department at Atisreal (Weatheralls) in which he developed good relationships with a number of overseas investors, concluding deals with American, Japanese, German, Irish and other European investors.
