Allianz US equity fund toasts AA rating

THE Allianz RCM US Equity fund has been awarded an ‘AA' rating by Standard & Poor's.

The £17.6m fund has been managed since April 2007 by Seung Minn, who said: “I am really pleased to be awarded this ‘AA’ rating so soon after taking over the fund. "Our investment strategy is proven, so it seemed right to bring the UK-based OEIC into line with the US Core Equity Strategy. "The aim is to outperform the S&P 500 Index using an investment process that blends quantitative techniques with fundamental research.” The fund currently holds 56 stocks, comprising 89pc in large caps and 10pc in mid caps.
