Baillie Gifford rolls out EM bond fund

Baillie Gifford has launched Emerging Markets Bond fund, with an initial target gross yield in excess of 7pc per annum.

Co-managed by Gordon Brown and Sally Greig, the OEIC will invest primarily in bonds issued by sovereign, supranational, public sector or corporate issuers. It has an objective to achieve a total return in excess of the JP Morgan GBI-EM Global Diversified index (before charges and expenses). Normally, at least 75pc of the fund will be held in bonds issued by emerging markets borrowers or bonds.
