Resolution hires head of alternatives

Resolution Asset Management (RAM) has poached Credit Suisse managing director Tim Sweeting for a newly-created role as head of alternatives.

At Credit Suisse, Sweeting headed up absolute return strategies and EMEA distribution. Prior to this, he was head of sales for Europe and Middle East at DB Absolute Return Strategies, a division of Deutsche Asset Management. In his 20 years experience in financial markets, he also held senior roles at UBS O'Connor and HSBC Investment Bank. In his new role, Sweeting will report directly to sales & marketing director Jonathan Polin, and will assume responsibility for global distribution of RAM's alternatives products.
