Equity release provider Retirement Plus has claimed that assets locked in property could offer a lifeline to people whose pension savings have been hit by stock market falls and inflation.
CEO Duncan Young asserted that intermediaries need providers' help when considering their clients' financial affairs in order to offer the best advice from whole of market. He said: "Given that the equity release market is still buoyant, advisers have a real opportunity to make this an extra income stream."
