BAILLIE Gifford has reported almost half of OEIC sales in 2006 came through multi-manager funds.
According to Baillie Gifford figures, fund of fund investments accounted for 41pc of Baillie Gifford OEIC sub-funds sales in 2006 and 50pc of sales in the first two months of 2007. Demand from fund of fund managers has been strong across the firm’s entire fund range, but there has been particularly high investment in the Baillie Gifford American, Corporate Bond, High Yield Bond, British 350 and Japanese funds.
