Julius Baer opens EM bond fund to UK market

Julius Baer has introduced its established Local Emerging Bond fund to UK investors.

The fund invests in emerging market bonds denominated in or linked to local currency. It covers a broad range of currencies and will offer UK investors access to emerging economies in Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The fund's current largest exposures include Mexico, Brazil, Columbia and Hungary. The Luxembourg domiciled fund was originally launched in April 2000, with assets under management currently at US $1.82bn.
