Fidelity in double change to fixed income team

FIDELITY has promoted Andrew Wells to become its new global chief investment officer for fixed income.

Wells previously held the position of chief investment officer for Asian fixed income and will report directly to Michael Gordon, global head of fixed income. Wells will be replaced by Sabita Prakash who has been given the role as group leader for Asian fixed income, having previously been director of research for the region. These moves represent the latest in a number of changes to Fidelity's senior staff including the recent appointment of Geraldine Stewart as head of investment for its multi-manager business and David Urch as portfolio manger for its UK equity team in Edinburgh.
