Midas looks to Japanese REITs

MIDAS Capital has added a bespoke Credit Suisse structured product investing in ten residential Japanese property REITs to its multi-manager range.

The CS Japan Residential REIT fund has been added to both the £214m Balanced Growth and the £222m Balanced Income funds. In addition Midas has added CQS Rig Finance Fund Ltd, which invests in corporate bonds issued by companies that build oil infrastructure, to its two fund of funds. David Thomas, head of business development, said the structured product proves Midas is heading in the right direction. “This is the first time we have used one specifically tailored for us,” he said. “We are now in a position where we can deal with structured product houses on a more bespoke basis....
