Schroders has unveiled its Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS Global Emerging Market Equity Commodity fund, billed as giving investors exposure to some of the world's fastest growing and most important commodity stocks.
The fund will be managed by Allan Conway, head of emerging market equities, and Robert Davy, manager of the group's existing Global Emerging Markets fund. Schroders aims to have a sterling distributor share class by the autumn, and said it would also consider launching an onshore unit trust version, if demand is strong enough from UK advisers. The new vehicle aims to outperform a customised MSCI EM Commodity index by 2pc gross of fees over rolling 3 year periods.
