New 'green' online advice course for IFAs

AN online training course to give advisers an insight into ethical investing has been launched in response to soaring demand for "green" advice.

The new web-based support service is the brainchild of the UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF) which promotes and develops socially responsible investment (SRI) among UK investors. The course is being backed by Friends Provident, Henderson, Jupiter and Norwich Union, which all have ethical investment funds. The fund houses are also supporting UKSIF’s new online green guide which provides tips for advisers on how to help their business go green and reduce carbon emissions. ‘The Adviser’s Guide to Going Green’ aims to help advisers combat climate change.
