Zurich: clients oblivious to pensions tax relief

An abundance of clients are oblivious of the tax perks of pensions, according to research by Zurich.

In Zurich's analysis, 75pc of participants were unaware of the tax relief on pension contributions. Of the under-25s, 91pc were unaware; 82pc of those aged 25-34 didn't know about the tax relief; 77pc of those aged 35-44 had not realised and 69pc of those aged 55yrs were incognizant. Furthermore only 20pc of women were aware that pensions qualify for tax relief, compared to 30pc of men.
