MARKET watchers should not overstate the case for history repeating itself this year, according to John Kelly, head of client investment at Abbey.
Kelly said there was undeniably a case of reliving in 2007 the economic conditions of 1990 but insisted there was a point where the analogy ran out of steam. “At first glance, there are many similarities between today and the turn of the 1990s," he said.
