Majedie considers global investments

MAJEDIE Asset Management is considering launching funds investing outside of the UK in 2007, Professional Adviser can reveal.

The fund management boutique is investigating the possibility of new launches with its product managers and market analysts. As it stands, Majedie only invests in UK stocks in its two retail offerings; UK Opportuni-ties and UK Alpha. Robert Harris, a founding member of the boutique which has around £4bn assets under management, said the plans were still in the early stages: “We are not going to set a target or name a geographical area or an asset class or anything yet," he said.
