Merril Lynch hires Jeremy Smilg

Merril Lynch has appointed Jeremy Smilg to the newly-created position of head of products and wealth solutions for its EMEA Wealth Management group (GWM).

Smilg will be responsible for developing a co-ordinated strategy across GWM, which will include market investments, wealth structuring and discretionary management. He will be based in London and will report to GWM head Eva Castillo. Castillo said: "Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management is continuing to build its business in EMEA with the appointment of exceptional wealth professionals. Jeremy has an outstanding track record and I am confident that, along with our already strong team, he will help to drive the business forward and enhance the high standards of service we offer."
