Now that the FSA's November feedback statement has had a chance to sink in, and with the consultation paper due next month, the clock has begun to tick towards the 2012 implementation deadline for the RDR. Advisers should (and probably have) start formulating an idea of what it might mean to them and their business plans. A significant change is likely to be that groups of clients will fit more naturally into segments distinguished by the type of advice or service they receive.
