Comment: NPSS arguments barking up the wrong tree

Apart from A-Day, there is a high degree of likelihood the acronym NPSS will make its way into the public conciousness.

However, also as likely is the fact this could happen for all the wrong reasons. While the average retail customer is unlikely to be remotely interested in the basis points arguments currently raging between the ABI, IMA, NAPF and ACA (Association of Consulting Actuaries) following Adair Turner’s recent suggestion the NPSS would only be truly affordable by cutting out advice, they are likely to be hugely interested in what happens to monthly take-home pay in future, and how much of it is left to do with as they please after the government has taken its cut.
