Cabinet reshuffle moves Timms into the Treasury

Today's Cabinet reshuffle has seen Stephen Timms MP become Financial Secretary to the Treasury while Ruth Kelly MP is appointed as Minister of State at the Cabinet Office.

Kelly will be working with Alan Milburn, says a spokeswoman for the Treasury, where they will manage the Labour campaign for the general election, while Johnson - announced this morning - has been confirmed as Secretary of State to the DWP and Timms – former Pensions Minister and recently Energy Minister to the DTI – moves into the Treasury. Alan Milburn is reported to hold the official title of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. IFAonline
