In the UK, the FTSE 100 Index has shed 10.50 points this morning to 5232.90, paced by Man Group.
Hedge fund firm, Man Group has shed 34p to 15.37p, after it said the recent weakness of the euro against the dollar reduced its assets under management. The investment management firm, Amvescap has also declined, down 7.5p to 425.25p, along with Shire Pharmaceuticals, down 10p to 618p. On the winning side, insurer Old Mutual has climbed, while mobile firm O2 has picked up 1.75p to 137.5p. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 Stock Average advanced 0.2% to 11,692.14 at its close early this morning, topping its highest level for three months and led by technology firms.
