Plans to create a recognised international standard of financial planning are being unveiled in London this evening.
Official launch of the global Financial Planning Standards Board is scheduled for Wednesday evening and will be the first stage in the marketing of a CFP-led financial planning standard around the world. A meeting of international delegates and Certified Financial Planning certificants from 18 countries is being held in London – currently known as the International CFP Council – to finalise details of the standards board, which will then be deployed to market and establish a single standard of financial planning from the US and across Europe to the Far East and Australasia.
