Lib Dems to base "Citizen's pension" on residency, not NI

The Liberal Democrats have set out their pensions manifesto for next year's general election, by proposing to increase basic payments for the oldest pensioners and pay State benefits based on residency.

Under the label of the new Lib Dems pension policy – dignity and security in retirement - single pensioners over the age of 75 would receive an extra £25 a week to £105.45 while couples over 75 would receive an extra £33.70 to £160.95 under proposals to lift another one million people out of means testing.
