One in four advisers now recommends charitable giving

Around one-quarter of financial services professionals are now advising clients on their charitable donations, says a survey conducted for the Giving Campaign.

Data compiled by NOP World research for the Giving Campaign suggests the UK has become a slightly more giving nation, as only 18% of clients received advice on charitable offerings in 2001, compared with today’s increase. At the same time, however, financial advisers have yet to feel totally confident about advising on the concept of share giving and charitable donations linked to financial services products.
