Old Mutual snares Murphy from M&G

Old Mutual Asset Managers (OMAM) has announced Simon Murphy will take control of its £109.3m UK Select Equity fund from March 2008.

Murphy joins from M&G Investments, where he managed the M&G UK Growth fund since April 2004. OMAM fund distribution managing director Matthew Nagele says the firm is delighted to capture Murphy’s services. “The UK all cap sector is a very large and important area for UK investors and we are sure that Simon’s skills will help us deliver an exciting and profitable UK all cap equity fund," he says.
