Equity release surge - research

A survey of 1,918 adults aged 18 and up during March found that 11% of homeowners have released equity in their property. Extrapolated that suggests about 2 million homeowners have done this , Mintel says. About a fifth of homeowners who have not done so previously say they may do so in future, the research suggests.
