Former Aviva UK Equity Income manager Dan Roberts is joining Gartmore to run its UK Equity Income fund.
He will join in mid-July and will take over Chris Burvill's £137m UK Equity Income fund, leaving him to concentrate solely on his £639m Cautious Managed fund. Roberts' top-decile UK Equity Income vehicle will be picked up by Chris Murphy, who currently runs the UK Equity and UK Growth funds for Aviva Investors. He formerly worked at Framlington Investment Management, initially managing income portfolios, before moving into growth funds. IFAonline
