The Conservative Party has revealed plans to introduce a new long-term care scheme if elected to government at next year's general election.

Sketchy information offered by Michael Howard, leader of the Conservative Party at today’s Older People’s Summit suggests the Tory Party is looking to establish links between the government, the insurance industry and the health service to encourage takeup of a three-year insurance plan, on the grounds free long-term care is offered thereafter.
