Offshore blacklist threat not dampening investor demand

Investors continue to look offshore in growing numbers despite threats from world leaders to blacklist 'tax havens'.

Gordon Brown's threat to clamp down on various offshore jurisdictions has been thrust to the top of the political agenda recently with mounting pressure from the US and Europe to claw back unpaid tax. "We want the whole of the world to take action. That will mean action against regulatory and tax havens in parts of the world which have escaped the regulatory attention they need," says Brown.
