Industry-wide forum to tackle CI reform

IFAs, providers, consumer representatives and journalists are being invited to attend a critical illness forum next month to formulate an industry-wide response to the ABI's critical illness consultation.

Details of the event are still in very early planning, however, behind-the-scene sources say the intention is to stage an event in London, similar to one held in 1998 when pension experts gathered to discuss government proposals for stakeholder pensions. At that event held at the London School of Economics, around 60 experts from product provider companies, IFA operations, trade and consumer bodies met to discuss every aspect of stakeholder pensions, from technical details and tax planning, to marketing and technology, within individual forums.
