Inheritance experts are warning the government not to expect assets and bequests to fill the pensions gap.
Karen Rowlingson, senior lecturer on social and policy science at the University of Bath, says: "Our analysis shows that those without private pensions are less likely to have received an inheritance and have lower expectations of receiving an inheritance than those who do.
