Woodford still IFA favourite despite poor Q1

Investors are continuing to pour money into Neil Woodford's Invesco Perpetual funds this year despite the highly-regarded manager admitting "disappointing" recent performance.

According to the latest Cofunds statistics, Woodford’s High Income and Income funds were the highest gross selling vehicles on the platform in Q1, even though the funds ranked 81 and 87 out of 90 in the IMA UK Equity Income sector over the period. Just two weeks ago Woodford admitted investors had been hit by poor fund performance in Q1. While performance on both funds has picked up in recent weeks, the High Income and Income funds are still ranked 87 and 81 respectively.
