Norwich Union (NU) is bidding to help plug a supposed adviser gap by attracting the next generation of IFAs to the industry.
The Aviva-owned firm is set to launch The Future Adviser Programme, a six-week internship for undergraduates designed to provide first-hand experience of financial services. It has this week launched a pilot of the scheme in partnership with the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP), and is targeting hundreds of students at the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. Six winners will spend their summer break with NU including a fortnight at a "high-quality" firm hosted by Bankhall, Tenet and The Money Portal.
