Falling crude cost fires early FTSE

The FTSE100 has started well this morning with investors buoyed by lower oil prices and a strong Wall Street session on Friday. London's blue-chip index is currently 24.50 points (0.45%) higher to 5513.70.

Building supplies group Wolseley leads the way, 4.63 % ahead to 440.25. Insurers are also pushing ahead early, with Old Mutual the best of the bunch, up 3.44% to 99.20. ITV has started well, 3.35% higher to 46.30; while Anglo American leads a host of miners higher so far, up 2.49% to 2759. Miner Eurasian is 4.45% lower to 1074 as rival Kazakhmys boosted its stake in the firm. Experian is also struggling, down 2.53% to 403.75. In New York, Wall Street continued its rally on Friday with investors buoyed as oil fell below $115 a barrel. The Dow Jones IA closed the week 302.89 points (2.65%)...
