Gartmore's plan to reshuffle its European desk has forced Tim Callaghan to consider his future at the firm.
Manager of the European Growth and European Focus funds, Callaghan’s vehicles are currently under evaluation with the firm considering merging some of its range. Europe desk head Stephen Jones will take interim control of Callaghan's funds until his future is decided. The European Growth and Focus funds are both fourth-quartile over one and three years in the IMA Europe (ex UK) sector. The news follows last week's announcement Gartmore’s multi-manager head Bambos Hambi and investment trust chief Jim Tennant were replaced as part of the company’s strategic review.
