Rathbone Investment Management has acquired Dexia's UK private banking business for an undisclosed sum.
Completion of the takeover – which will see a transfer of around £540m in assets under management – is expected in April, subject to regulatory approval. Dexia says it then plans to concentrate its private banking operations at “selected onshore and offshore markets where the group already has a significant presence”. IFAonline
